Win your street as pixel art: our Brisbane jacaranda giveaway
Every October Brisbane turns purple. To mark the start of jacaranda season we're running our first giveaway — and the headline prize is one only we can make: your favourite Brisbane street, drawn as a framed pixel-art print straight from the Pixel Brisbane map. Three winners, free to enter, and it's a game of skill — the best answers win.
What you can win
Each of the three winners takes home:
- 🖼️ A framed A4 pixel-art print of the jacaranda street they nominate (or their own street), rendered from our 3D map and ready to hang.
- 🎁 Plus their pick of one: two cinema tickets, a $50 Brisbane café or dining gift card, or a mystery Brisbane prize.
Nominated streets may also earn a spot on our jacaranda map, credited to you — a little local knowledge that helps the whole city find the best blooms.
How to enter
Entering takes two steps, over on Instagram:
- Follow @pixelbrisbane on Instagram.
- Comment Brisbane's best jacaranda street on the giveaway post — name the street or suburb and tell us why. The more specific, the better.
Key dates
- Entries open: Wednesday 16 September 2026.
- Entries close: Sunday 18 October 2026, 11:59pm AEST.
- Winners announced: Friday 23 October 2026 — as Brisbane hits peak jacaranda bloom, and the Goodna Jacaranda Festival kicks off.
