World Sepsis Day

Kangaroo Point Bridge will be lit Magenta to support World Sepsis DayWorld Sepsis Day helps to increase sepsis knowledge and awareness as an important part of combatting sepsis - one of the highest preventable causes of death worldwide. The day is an excellent opportunity to promote knowledge of sepsis and raise awareness, including: Helping Queenslanders identify the signs and symptoms of sepsis and knowing when to seek help if the condition is not improving or is getting worse. Providing resources to health professionals to increase the speed at which they can recognise and treat sepsis.
