Karawatha Forest BioBlitz

Join us for a fun and fascinating BioBlitz at Karawatha Forest, where nature enthusiasts of all ages can help discover and record local wildlife. Spend the day exploring this beautiful bushland in Karawatha, using the free iNaturalist app to identify fungi, plants, insects, birds and more. Your observations will contribute valuable data to real biodiversity research. Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just curious about your local environment, this hands-on citizen science event is a great way for the whole family to connect with nature, don't miss it!Requirements on the day:Arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the Environment Centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, and bring sunscreen. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
