Junior Explorers: Bug Detectives

Meet some mini-beasts and find out fun and fascinating facts about these environmental heroes!Meet some of the Environment Centre's resident insects and other mini-beasts at a fun bug show, then test out your detective skills on a short walk investigating bugs and their habitats. What will we find living nearby? Join this one-of-a-kind school holiday activity to discover fascinating facts about bugs and other mini-beasts and find out why these amazing animals are nature's superheroes!This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, send an email. On the day:Arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the Environment Centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
