ITP Awareness Week - LightUp4ITP

Story Bridge will be lit Purple to support ITP Awareness Week - LightUp4ITPGlobal ITP Awareness Week (21 to 27 September 2026), is dedicated to raising public awareness of the rare autoimmune blood disorder Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) and to highlighting the ITP patient experience. ITP is a rare autoimmune disorder in which the body's immune system attacks healthy platelets and/or suppresses platelet production, resulting in low platelet counts. Platelets help the blood clot, and individuals with ITP typically have a low platelet count. It affects children and adults. There is no cure. For most people, there is no known cause.
