About

Kangaroo Point Bridge will be lit Green to support the Eve of National Bilbly DayNational Bilby Day is held each year on the second Sunday in September as a National Day of Awareness and is the only officially gazetted day in Australia dedicated to celebrating one of our iconic native species, the iconic but threatened bilby. The day encourages Australians to 'Go Green for Bilbies' by wearing green, hosting events and supporting conservation efforts to help protect the species from extinction. As a flagship species, bilbies help shine a spotlight on biodiversity and the many other threatened species that share their habitat. It is a key opportunity for communities, schools and organisations to learn about the bilby's plight and the work being done to save it, while raising funds and support for on-ground conservation projects. This Light Up is organised by: Save the Bilby fund Ltd
