POSTPONED - Celebrating 50 years of Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha

*** Event postponed to Sunday 29 November 2026 *** For 50 years the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha has played an important role in conserving plant biodiversity, protecting valuable living collections and inspiring an appreciation for the natural world. It has also long been a place where people have connected with nature and created lasting memories with family and friends. Celebrate this rich history with a picnic in the gardens and learn about some of the teams and organisations that work both internally and externally to make the gardens what it is today. You can also enjoy a walk through the gardens and discover our trail of historical photos and stories. From its early beginnings to the people and events that helped shape its identity, each display offers a unique glimpse into the past.
