About this event

Get up close and discover the feathered, furry and scaly friends that live in our neighbourhoods. Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Native wildlife live all around us, from our backyards to local parks and nature reserves. But have you had a chance to meet them up close? Join our wildlife expert for a special Bush Kindy wildlife experience as they introduce children to a variety of Australian animals, including amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds. Discover what makes these creatures unique, learn how to be a wildlife-friendly neighbour, and enjoy an interactive experience designed especially for young children and their families. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation care group interested in attending a similar activity, please send an email. Requirements on the day: Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. Please bring drinking water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site. Some components of the session may take place outdoors. Note: All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
